Hi, I'm Joy.
I've been photographing weddings since 2014, and what I care about most on your wedding day is the people. Your people.
From our first consultation to your last dance, I'll get to know you, your story and the people who matter most to you. On your wedding day, I'm there for every moment, big and small, with real enthusiasm and care, so you can relax, be present and enjoy it, knowing it's all being captured.
Why "Just Joy"? I don't have a middle name. My dad wanted me to be just Joy because he wanted joy in our home. I embody my name, so naming my business after it felt right.

How do we book our date?
After we chat, a signed contract and a non-refundable retainer reserve your day. The rest is split into three scheduled payments, with the last one due by your wedding day. I accept e-transfer, cheque or cash.
Can we add more time on the day?
Yes. Extra time is $250 per hour, and we can decide on the day if the party is still going.
Do you travel?
I'm based in Ottawa and love weddings across the region. Getting married farther away? Ask for a travel quote.
What if it rains?
We'll plan a backup together at your consultation. Some of my favourite photos happen under umbrellas.
Who is the assistant photographer?
A trusted second photographer who covers the moments I can't, like the groom getting ready while I'm with the bride.
Can we share and print our photos?
Share them online as much as you like, with a photo credit to Just Joy Imaging. Personal prints are welcome too. For the truest colour, you can order prints through my Print Shop.
Are you insured?
Yes. Just Joy Imaging carries business liability insurance, so if your venue asks for proof, I'll send it over.
When will we see our photos?
A sneak peek of favourites arrives within 48 hours, perfect for sharing. Your full gallery follows within 4 to 6 weeks.
