Happy New Year, Everyone!
As this new year begins, we see all these posts about what 2017 has been and how we are looking forward to what is ahead in 2018 and this blog is no different!
Thank you for stopping by to read this blog!
I always love a good time of reflection and contemplation of all that has happened in a year: a lot happens in a year.
From this place of reflection, I can see that 2017 has been an incredible year of growth in my personal and professional life! From achieving my Bachelors (Hons) Photography, growing my business to a level that in my five-year plan is perfectly set up and learning from many life experiences, I am very happy with 2017.
From this place, I am so thankful and grateful for the amazing people in my life. We were not called to live our lives alone, but to be in community, have our families supporting us and friends cheering us on. I am so blessed to say I have all three of those things and I know I owe so much to all of you!
With my head injury in 2017, it taught me a lot of things about who I want to become. It took me from a place of being constantly busy to all of the sudden having to find peace and calm to heal. I learned that I needed to take time for myself and always find peace in the busyness.
I challenge you this year, put yourself in a place that you have no other option to discover who you really are and take the time to let that person live. We see ourselves every day in the mirror but we get so distracted by work, life, relationships and so much more than we don't give ourselves time to grow.
This year, unplug from who you see the world wants you to be and find out who you were created to be. Put your best foot forward in your work, in your desires and in your goals and see where you succeed the most.
The discovery of our purpose is found beyond the money we get paid to do the work, but found in ourselves when we take time to discover what we love to do.
And lastly, let's be positive. Even the worst job can be flipped around and you can find something good in it if you are willing. This year, be willing to see the positive in you and in those around you and in what you do.
Giving you all my love to you and my best wishes for this year! I am so excited for all that 2018 has in store and I am so thankful for all of you following along my artistic journey and being apart of the stories I get to write! Here is to many more stories in 2018!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
