Well Hello, Everyone!
Look at me, I have this great campaign which I absolutely love doing and then I completely stopped blogging when I finish it! I so enjoyed those 3 weeks where each day was a new day to describe love and stories of love. Thank you for following along!
I am working to get back on the bandwagon of blogging as I quite enjoy this time of chatting and creating connection with you. These days, I would have to say life is full and amazing. I am now back in my second term of university and I am working more than ever in many different creative endeavors!
I keep posting little hints about my upcoming and well upon us now project! Community!!!!
Thank you so much for joining me today! I want to tell you about a project that is very close to my heart. As I am working on my portfolio for my degree, I have to come up with a project or theme to bring together said portfolio. As I was thinking about what I could do to really tell stories, telling stories is a great passion of mine, I began to think about the community I grew up in and love, Brockville. When I was young, I loved to watch people and makeup stories in my head about their lives. As an adult, I get to pick up the camera, meet with people and tell the real stories of their lives. It is crazy how I would have never thought of that time as something I would do for a living. Being a part of someone's wedding day, photographing a community event or capturing a family at their stage in life they are in now are all absolute honours of my job and I love every single minute of it.
For my portfolio, I wanted to continue telling this stories on a larger scale! Because of course, "Go Big or Go Home"! I came up with the idea to Capture the Small Business's of Brockville. What does this mean exactly!? Well, it means that I am going to local business's to find out about their stories and history here in our community and then taking their pictures in order to show and represent them in the best way that I can.
I have already spoken with 8 different business's and 5 are already booked for me to come in and tell their stories, since starting writing this blog I have even more business's signed up! My short term goal of this project is to create my portfolio that tells the history of Brockville. My long term goal is to create awareness and bring support to the local community. I want to build a website that works as a directory for the small business. I want you to be able to look and see all the different local places and connect with them!
My goal in this project is to bring awareness and support to the local business and share their inspiration and history for serving our great community. As a community we need the small business to keep our city how we know and love it, so let's support them!
Thank you! I am going to start sharing and telling the stories as I go along so stay tuned for new blogs weekly! I so appreciate you stopping by and hope you come back and keep up!
If you know a business interested in a being apart or you support this project, I would love to hear from you! Comment below, send me an email or connect on Facebook! Let us be a community of support for one another!
Have an amazing weekend, Everyone!
